This a great party dip. It’s super easy to make and it’s super addictive! And it taste so much better than the store brought spinach dips. This dip is the first to go every time I take it to potlucks and BBQs. Make this dip a day ahead of time so it can set up nicely overnight in the fridge.
1 (10 oz) package frozen spinach, thawed and drained
1 (8 oz) can water chestnuts, drained
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
1 (1 1/2 oz) packet dry vegetable soup mix (any brand you like)
Coarsely chop the spinach into 2 inch pieces. Set aside. Make sure you wring out the water from the spinach well. Wet spinach will ruin your dip!
Chop the chestnuts into bite size pieces. I prefer my chestnuts to be finer chopped, but some people like the bigger chunks of chestnuts in the dip so it’s your preference. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream and soup mix. Stir in the spinach and chestnuts until combined.
Refrigerate the dip overnight. Keep dip in fridge until ready to serve.
Serve with your favorite chips, vegetable sticks or crusty bread.
