Peanut butter fudge
Fudge is great any time of year! It is creamy and delicious, and makes a great treat, snack, dessert, or even a fantastic gift for a fudge lover in your life! Try this peanut butter fudge with chocolate for an ultimate fudge lover delight!
Peanut butter fudge: yields over two pounds of mouth watering fudge.
You will need a 9×13 pan greased
Peanut butter- one cup
Confectioners sugar- one and a half pounds
Butter or margarine- one half cup
Cream, half and half, evaporated milk, or milk- one half cup
Vanilla extract- one and one half teaspoon
Milk chocolate- twelve ounce bag
In large saucepan melt butter, cream or milk, and peanut butter. Mix until creamy. Bring to a soft boil and turn on very low heat. Add confectioners sugar, and blend it into peanut butter mixture. Beat until all sugar is folded in.
There will be white sugar lumps at this point. Take fudge mix out of saucepan and away from the heat and put in mixing bowl. Beat mixture gently to break down white lumps. Mix until white lumps disappear or lessen.
Fill 9x 13 pan with peanut butter fudge filling. Spread hot filling to pans edges. Pour bag of milk chocolate over hot fudge, spread evenly. Let stand for five minutes as hot fudge will naturally melt the milk chocolate. Use frosting spreader or butter knife to create a decoration on top of fudge.
Refrigerate for one hour to harden chocolate. May be served cold, room temperature, or even tastes great heated up for twenty seconds ion the microwave for a warm gooey and unforgettable treat!
