Easy Fried Chicken

Hi I’m Chen Hou. I am a university student staying away from home with some u-mates. I’m very much interested in cooking and cook regularly for myself and my friends. As there is no fried chicken recipe, I am sharing one that I prepare very often as my friends and I love fried chicken.

Ingredients
2 chicken legs – chopped to fairly large pieces
1 teaspoon ginger – finely shredded
1 tablespoon soy sauce
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon cooking wine (optional)
¼ teaspoon cooking oil
1 small egg – lightly beaten
2 tablespoons cornstarch

Preparation
1. Marinate chicken pieces with all ingredients for at least 15 minutes.
2. Heat up oil on medium heat and fry chicken pieces for 4 minutes. Remove with strainer and drain oil.
3. Reheat oil and fry chicken again until skin is crispy.

Note: The chicken drumsticks may also be fried whole and chopped into pieces after frying.
