Berries and Cream Cocktail

When the springtime rolls around and the time for tea parties, cool drinks, and fresh fruit becomes the present, there are few ways better to indulge than with a Berries and Cream cocktail. Its beautiful appearance and wonderful taste make it an instant favorite among all those who try it!

With two ways to make this decadent treat, the Berries and Cream cocktail is perfect for just about any occasion. Make a blended version to sip on those balmy spring afternoons, or shake up a classic version to cap off a delicious dinner. Either way, you end up with a frothy, creamy, delicious drink that celebrates all of the sweetest things about the springtime!

-Berries and Cream cocktail: frozen recipe-

Ingredients:
2 measures blueberry vodka
3/4 cup vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt
1 spoonful raspberry jam
1 spoonful strawberry jam
Fresh blackberries, for garnish

Directions:

1. Chill a margarita or wine glass.

2. In a blender, combine the blueberry vodka, vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt, raspberry jam, and strawberry jam with one or two ice cubes. Blend the mixture until it runs smooth.

3. Pour the drink into the chilled margarita or wine glass.

4. Garnish the drink with a few fresh blackberries to serve.

Ingredients:
2 measures blueberry vodka
1 measure half and half
1 measure strawberry or raspberry liqueur
Fresh blackberries, for garnish

Directions:

1. Chill a cocktail or lowball glass, then fill it with ice cubes.

2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Pour in the blueberry vodka, half and half, and strawberry or raspberry liqueur. Shake the mixture vigorously until it is well frosted.

3. Strain the drink from the cocktail shaker into the chilled glass, over the ice cubes.

4. Garnish the drink with a few fresh blackberries to serve.
